Interview
Long and drawn out, very unprofessional interview - CEO doesn't know anything about real estate and the Chief of Staff has no idea what she is doing. Don't feel like these guys will last long, very surprised how they got any funding.
I applied through a staffing agency. I interviewed at DoorFeed (London, England) in Oct 2024
Interview
I had one of the worst interview experiences ever with Doorfeed. The process was disorganised, unclear, and frustrating from the start.
First Interview: This was scheduled to be a quick 15-minute conversation but ended up taking longer. It set the tone for the rest of the process.
Second Interview: This was an absolute disaster. The interviewer didn’t even show up, and despite this, the task deadline remained in place. I was then told I could attempt the task over two days, the instructions were so messy and unclear that the whole experience felt chaotic and poorly handled
Feedback Delays: After passing the second stage, it took a long while to hear back about the next steps. They said I passed but then took ages to confirm a date for the next stage
In-Person Interview: This was the only redeeming part of the process. I got to see the office and meet the team, which was a positive experience
Final Stage – CEO Round: This round was more informal, with questions about my personal hobbies, and behavioural questions
.
The Worst Part: After completing all the rounds, the (external)recruiter informed me that, despite me passing every stage and being liked by the team, they had decided to change the job description and were now looking for someone different. This was incredibly frustrating. Had they made this decision earlier, they could have rejected me outright and saved everyone time. Alternatively, knowing this in advance would have allowed me to prepare more effectively for those areas, as they weren’t topics I was completely unfamiliar with.
Ghosted: I followed up with the recruiter, offering to discuss the updated role and my experience with the new focus areas, but I was completely ignored. The recruiter also promised to send feedback from the team but never followed through
In short, this interview process was a huge waste of time, and I would not recommend engaging with this company unless you enjoy being misled and treated unprofessionally.
Looking at the other reviews, I can clearly see I dodged a bullet by not being hired.

Interview
I had an online screening interview with one of their frontend engineers. Overall for me the experience was pretty positive but I did not expect to get technical questions at the end of the interview, noting that it was scheduled for 15 mins only but it lasted 30-40 mins. I was excited to learn about the company and genuinely felt like I would want to work there, given my experience working at a startup. Unfortunately, I didn't answer some of the technical questions with confidence which I feel like the reason they didn't want to continue with me. I didn't get any feedback from them but they gave their decision the next day.
