      Business Consultant Interview

      Oct 27, 2014
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Declined offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Domo

      Interview

Strangest process I've ever experienced. I was contacted by their recruiter and told that they wanted to move fast to fill the position. They scheduled a video interview about a week later and then two onsite interviews a week after that with a team and then with the hiring manager. Then I never heard from them. After following up I was told they were busy with other positions. Finally, 2-3 weeks later, a member of staffing called and set up a third interview but it was for a different position that they thought I was qualified for. I met with a Director, then they grabbed a few other people that happened to be there. After another week or two I was contacted and asked to come in and meet with a C-Level executive. All of the interviews went well, but I found the C-Level executive to be quite arrogant and somewhat annoyed at having to interview, even though it was their process. They said they would get back to me later that week, which they did not. The following week I called the HR dept and was told they were still waiting to make their final decision. They gave me their benefits package, etc., etc. Finally they called with an offer but by that time I had accepted an offer with another more professional company. It was just a strange and chaotic process that seemed to have no rhyme or reason. The hiring manager and the team of people were great but the C-Level staff seemed very arrogant. After meeting with them I was really turned off.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Nothing too challenging, although I did find it odd that they would ask the same question repeatedly. I was asked who the company investor were and who their recent C-Level hires were. They really like to talk about themselves.

      Business Consultant Interview

      Dec 5, 2017
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Salt Lake City, UT
      No offer
      Positive experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Domo (Salt Lake City, UT)

      Interview

A recruiter initially reached out to me regarding the role. Eventually did about 2 phone calls with the recruiter, 1 phone call with the team member, recording a video of me answering questions and then flown out to the headquarters in Utah. Then I had a full day meeting with about 6 of the team members face to face. It was fairly standard in terms of open ended questions and getting to know each other. There wasn't any "gotcha" style questions like Google asks. The interviewers were all fairly relaxed, and I'd say a bit too relaxed. Overall, the experience was better than most other companies in that it was fairly well run.
