I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at DigitalOcean in May 2022
Interview
The interview process was fantastic and also efficient. After speaking with my recruiter and having a great conversation, we moved directly to the manager interview where I got to speak with my future manager and talk both about the technical parts of the job and about how the role would fit with my career growth and goals.
Right after this, I went into the interview loop and I enjoyed both the depth and breadth of technical and behavioral interviews as well as the personal interactions of meeting everyone on my team. I really liked that I was interviewed directly by the team members who I would be working with and the emphasis on soft skills as well that are crucial to teamwork, building consensus, and also being humble about learning.
Once the offer stage began, it was great working with both my manager and the recruiter. Also, my recruiter provided a lot of detailed info about benefits and other policies which was nice to have to evaluate the offer.

Question 1
I was asked a series of technical and non-technical questions, ranging from system design, algorithms and data structures to communication and other inter-personal skills/experience. I feel like the interview captured an overall picture of my skills and interests, and also allowed for me to highlight my strengths and areas I would like to improve/grow into.

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at DigitalOcean (Hyderābād) in Jan 2025
Interview
Interview went well they asked questions based on the resume. However after interviewer failed to communicate what was interviewed. I said things outside resume as it felt like he was talking about others resume.
6 Rounds total, with one recruiter screen and 5 technical conversation style (no coding interview) interviews. No behavioral or system-design, which was expected for this role. Everybody was very friendly and knowledgeable. The recruiter was pleasant and helpful.
