I applied through university. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Devon Energy (Calgary, AB) in Jan 2012
Interview
Two engineering managers. Straight forward. Nice people. Talked about my resume and cover letter, definitely trying to verify the information i provided. They weren't pushy or mean, just straight to the point but in a polite manner. The interview took about one hour and they refused to give me their business cards at the end because they didn't want people contacting to follow up.
They gave me a chance to ask about the company, but I think this was a way for them to find out if i had prepared and if i knew anything about the business itself.
I applied through university. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Devon Energy (Lubbock, TX) in Sep 2015
Interview
The interview was very standard and what you might expect a typical interview to be. There were three interviewers who each had a copy of my resume. Over the 20 minutes that we spoke, they went over my resume. They focused on my college career so far, and my community service activities. Throughout the process they were both professional and personable.
