The best thing is flexibility of the benefits package so you can allocate yourself benefits for your insurance, Health Care Spending Accounting, purchased vacation days.
RRSP matching is generous. Health Care Spending account allows you to put benefits where you want them most, including purchasing additional vacation days! (to a limit)
Devon offers one of the best benefit plans in the Calgary Oil patch. In-house gym membership (fees rebated if used a set number of times per month), Flex days, professional development and many internal training courses offered.
I loved the employee matching program for the pension plan. The worst they recently cut vacation causing a lot of disgruntled employees.
Pro would be their flexible benefit system, where you can choose to take out taxable cash instead of benefits. Con would be their company that they used, Manulife, which was unfair and constantly looking for ways to not pay out your claims.
