I don't recommend interviewing with deepmirror. The take home challenge involves a serious amount of time and has several components, even when assisted by AI tools. Like others have mentioned no feedback is given for what's essentially a week's worth of work.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at DeepMirror (London, England) in Mar 2026
Interview
I interviewed for a role, which included doing a take home assignment. After handing it in, I did not get any feedback or even confirmation that my submission went in. I tried to follow up, but no luck at all. Very disappointed with the process.
I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at DeepMirror
Interview
Don't waste your time on their home assignment. It has almost zero weight in their decision making. The CTO has suggested to the recruiter I was working with that I might have not done it myself :( If you cannot trust people and their years of experience, why do you hand out home assignment and take people's time and effort? Have 1 hour coding interview.
Unfortunetely the CTO is inexperienced in performing interviews. He put very short amount of time for each phase while other companies give it more time. Unfortunetely the bulk part of decision making was done based off of the two questions on the extention on home assignment, which in a short time I managed to cover only 50% under pressure, and then I received a quick "no" from them.
- 20 min intro questioning that I only had 3 minutes to ask my questions from them
- Lengthy home assignment - they think it takes 3h, it took me 9h
- 30 min zoom for questions about home assignment and adding extension
