There was a virtual application portal followed by a group interview for this job. The group interview involved some group questions and then an individual presentation we were told about in advance.
- We were asked to present an item from their store and sell it in front of a group

It was nice and really personable. Very pleasant interview. Not sure what else to say. It's hard to elaborate on this. I don't know. You just have to think on the spot.
- What is your favourite tea?

Very casual interview process; the interview itself was not long. There was only one interview before a job offer. The interview took place in the back of the store and was conducted by the store manager. Usually you will receive a very quick response from the store manager.
- How would you serve a client in a certain scenario

Overall nice experience. We had an on-the-spot phone interview, which led to an in person interview. Questions were average for this type of role. Offered free tea during the interview. They had been interviewing other people before me & ended up going with one of them, but still an average experience overall. The pay is pretty bad though. Only $15-16 for a supervisor.
- How are you prepared to meet sales goals?

Phone interview, followed by a meet up interview. Customer related questions, kpi’s understanding and love for tea. Very interested in personality and fit, friendliness and ability to work in fast paced environment.
- Please tell of a time you experienced a difficult customer, what did you do?

Group Interview situation. A combination of corny questions that were very easy to prepare for. I have never liked group interviews, but if you are confident they can work well for you.
- What is something interesting about you?

Anonymous Interview Candidate in Edmonton, AB
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at DAVIDsTEA (Edmonton, AB)
Group interview in the back of a store. There were around 15 people, all interviewing for different locations across the city. There were four managers there for each of the locations. Applied online, and in the invitation to the interview, we were told to bring an item that had a significant meaning to us. We were tested on the history of the company and different types of teas. The managers handed each person an item that Davidtea sold and told us we had 30 seconds to sell them the item. Many people spoke over others, and some people didn't have the opportunity to get a word in. When it came time to talk about the item we brought it seemed irrelevant to the interview and was overall a little awkward because it appeared that people were trying to make it into a competition. We were handed a sheet of paper to fill out our availability and to list the top 3 stores we would want to work at. When I applied, I applied to a specific store, but when I filled out the sheet, I did so in accordance with the store I would work at. I got an email from the manager of the store I didn't list on the sheet offering me a second interview, but I declined. The store was at least a 30 min drive away, and I was only willing to work at the store I originally applied for.
- Who is the founder of Davids Tea?

- Why is the item you brought special to you?
- How would you sell this item to me?
- Why do you want to work here?
- What is *insert a tea type* tea, and what are its flavour profiles?

First I had a call with the HR or recruiter which went well, then over a month later she invited me to a Zoom interview with the hiring managers (art director and another manager). They were very nice and the interview went well, but I never ever heard back from them.
- What do you need at your job to succeed? (or something similar)
