I must have submitted my application at most a couple weeks ago. I got two unsolicited phone calls today from different numbers, like the kind of numbers you would see from a spam call. The calls came to my phone back to back in the span of five minutes, first from a Pennsylvania number, and then a Maryland number. I honestly thought they were spam calls because there was no voice mail and the calls weren’t coming from Florida. Then when I didn’t respond to the call, another 5 minutes later a completely different phone number texted me. The texts were in broken English asking if I’m “still interested”. I don’t know, maybe it’s just me, but I feel incredibly uncomfortable a company used a phone number spoofer just to reach me and then sent random text messages to my phone when this entire process could have been scheduled over email like literally every other company I’ve spoken to.
