First I had an interview with HR and then I had a technical interview where they evaluated my level of English and my technical skills. Overall, it was a quick and relaxed process.
I applied online. I interviewed at Critical TechWorks (Porto, Oporto) in Aug 2025
Interview
I applied for a Data Engineer position and there were two interviews, the first one with Human Resources, which took some time to be scheduled. CTW, however, was always communicative and helpful. This first interview with HR went well; there were some out-of-the-box questions, which I found interesting and that made me reflect a bit before answering, but nothing technical. The company was also presented, along with how it operates and important conditions such as the hybrid work model, etc.
Shortly after, I was invited for the second interview, which was technical, and I consider it appropriate for the position, with questions about Data Engineering and Data Science. The interviewer was concerned with getting to know my background, and I noticed they had done their 'homework.' They asked questions about past projects, how I solved certain technical problems, and also presented scenarios with possible issues and how I would solve them. The second interview lasted about 75 minutes.
I always received feedback from CTW throughout the entire process and, after these two interviews, I received an offer, which I accepted. I now look forward to joining the CTW team.

Interview
After answering some questions about myself and why I wanted to join the company via email I got an interview with 2 data engineers. The interview process was smooth and I didn't feel pressured, it was more of a normal conversation.
