Lacking in empathy but efficient and professional. I immediately new I wouldn't be hired since I was more about empathy and the interviewer about business. They thought I saw volunteers as inferior when I just meant we need to make them comfortable.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Crisis (London, England) in Feb 2026
Interview
First stage was informal discussion with peers followed by a standard interview with a panel of 3. Warm rapport and discussion in the informal stage. Panel interview was odd - felt rushed (they were running behind), very little effort to make rapport with you and most of the questions were repeats of what's on the application form. Not sure if that was a test in itself (and if it was, trying to trick candidates into seeing whether they repeat an answer or have to find another example for the sake of it, says a lot) or people on the panel not reading applications, who knows! Either way, not a good look.
Left feeling like this definitely wasn't the right organisation for me so wasn't at all surprised to get a call to say I hadn't made the next round. Then followed by an email a week later to tell me the same thing - all in all felt like they weren't a well joined up organisation and a bit of a mess.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Describe your proven experience in leading brand development work to achieve organisational goals. How did you encourage collaboration and what was the outcome? (this was the same question as the application form)
Quick interview friendly and informative hopefully the rest on the stages go well like the first stage . Pay seems to be ok not as much as working on the city maybe lowered by 10 dollars .
