A highly unreliable process. After a tedious and slow-moving experience in August-October that led to "we'd like to hire you but the position is not open anymore", the company reached out again months later for a follow up chat, and then a direct job offer that never led to a contract.
Cons:
- My first interaction last October was already marked by long wait times and unreliable communication. E.g. after a time intensive case study needed to wait for weeks to hear back.
- This time, I received a "Congratulations! Welcome to the Nice Cognigy Crew" email. We had already aligned on all contract details.
I was kept in limbo for 3 weeks (just need your references, just another coffee chat with the team, ...), only to be rejected via the recruiter because of a sudden "need for more seniority" after an internal resignation, I was missing skills that could not be named and that were never assessed during the interviews.
- The Hiring Manager talks about "Radical Candor," yet completely ignored my request for a brief follow-up chat.
Advice to Candidates: Team seemed nice, process a nightmare and probably a first clue about internal culture. Do not resign or stop your job search based on a "Welcome" email or verbal offer here.
I applied online. I interviewed at Cognigy (Berlin) in Feb 2026
Interview
I applied for this position in January and was contacted by the recruiter at the end of February. The HR screening was not hard. After the initial interview, I was given a technical assignment which took a significant amount of my time. Three weeks after I completed it, I still got zero feedback from the hiring team. I reminded them multiple times. At this point, I feel like've been ghosted.
I applied through other source. I interviewed at Cognigy (Dallas, TX)
Interview
Interviewer was nice and had a calm atmosphere. However, it seemed they were more interested in uncovering details of my previous organization than really interviewing to learn about myself as a candidate.
