I applied online. I interviewed at Cloudera in Nov 2015
Interview
Initial round was a phone round. The person on the phone seemed really friendly at the beginning. Later he started asking a graph problem in Java. The essence of the interview was to gauge my thinking capability as opposed to coding in Java I think. But it turned out to be a nightmare when he the interviewer had a fixed pattern of code in his head to solve the problem. He only wanted me to fill in the blanks whatever he asked me to code into his template. This would seem fairly simple but gets really hard when the interviewer talks about a complex problem and asks you to assume certain things with his template. When some assumption is put into practice to solve the problem he was not ready to accept the solution saying just assume my template is correct. I frankly dont know what that really means. The whole experience was super negative.
I applied through university. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Cloudera (Manipal) in Sep 2025
Interview
It had 3 rounds. 2 technical and 1 managerial/technical. Both the technical rounds includes a DSA question each. First round they asked me solve the DSA question followed by the question I could solve in the OT.
Since my entire resume was ML based, all the rounds focused on ml fundamentals.
I applied through other source. I interviewed at Cloudera
Interview
three total rounds: Technical screen --> phone screen --> final round onsite; leetcode style questions and standard behavioral questions. Fast process and technical questions are framed with relevance to the work being done. Everyone was very friendly and helpful
