      Interior Designer Interview

      Mar 18, 2021
      Anonymous interview candidate
      New York, NY
      No offer
      Negative experience

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Clodagh (New York, NY)

      Interview

Applied via email, and got an interview invitation through email. Interview was conducted at their office. In conclusion, this was the weirdest and worst interview I've ever had in my life. There were two male interviewers at the interview, and it started with the normal questions, related to experience and portfolio, then later, they started asking what my bloodtype and horoscope is. After they found out my horoscope, they literally said that they are not sure if my horoscope will be compatible with the founder's. Very unpleasant experience, and very unprofessional.

      Interview questions [3]

      Question 1

What's your horoscope? The founder's horoscope is A and we are trying to find out if you have a compatible horoscope for her.

      Question 2

      And what is your blood-type?

      Question 3

Plus typical questions about your previous work experience and reason for leaving your previous job.

Clodagh Design does occasionally like to ask prospective employees to provide their zodiac sign. We ask this question with a light heart and as a fun reflection of our brand, never as a requirement or to assure a certain fit within our studio. It goes without saying, but we do not discriminate in any way, and we would certainly never request blood type, the suggestion of which admittedly did give us a bit of a chuckle.
