A recruiter from Citi contacted me via LinkedIn. We had a ~30 min conversation via phone. It was a regular first time conversation about the company, the job, the team and compensation. The recruiter was really nice, answered all of my questions, we decided to go to the next step. They contacted me from another country to set up a phone interview. The time of the interview changed 2 times, but finally I agreed to set up this call on a national holiday to avoid any further changes. It should have been a biographical, technical and competency-based interview via a conference call. This is where it all turned to the worst interview experience of my career. It was a 2 hour long phone call. I had to call in from my cell phone on my own cost. It's not a big deal, but I've never experienced anything like this before. They built up this interview poorly. It was a rather a plain technical interview. I applied to a frontend developer job, but at the end a guy joined the call, he asked some backend questions, but when I told him, that I forgot the english word for something, he didn't let me think or finish, instead he asked another question. I think this is unacceptable.
