I interviewed at Cinema for Peace Foundation in Jan 2021
Interview
After applying for their internship/volunteership position, the company contacted me, expressing interest in my profile, and requested a trial task. This task was extensive, with a deadline of less than 24 hours for completion. I submitted the task on time. The feedback received indicated satisfaction with my work, and discussions began regarding a potential immediate start date. The job was offered to me, all via email, and I was asked to join a call to discuss the details. I answered promptly, asking for the call time, and my email went unanswered. All follow-up inquiries also received no response.

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Cinema for Peace Foundation (Berlin) in Sep 2024
Interview
Extremely odd and unprofessional interview process. They request that you complete an assignment, which really is just a thinly veiled way for them to get your free labor. Particularly because the assignment is you planning out their future events, I interviewed with another person, and neither of us got the job, It has been nearly 2 months and the job just gets reposted over and over again, which confirms that this is a way for them to get applicants to work for free. Don't fall for their trap.

Question 1
The director only wants to know what connections you have, so that he can expand his funding network. I knew this organization was a mess when he asked what celebrities I could bring to the table.

Originally I have received the contract after three complicated hiring steps and that lacked transparency
Yesterday, around 22:26, I received a message by one of the Human Resources members and they told me that I should have had a call this morning with the director of the foundation and it would have been the last step of the process, provoking a fair confusion in me.
Today I joined the call and after the interview, I have been told that the director didn’t like my answers and my contract was revoked.
Normally I do not complain on LinkedIn, but I feel frustrated and furious and that they just wanted to have fun of me and I thought to tell everyone to be aware of potential toxic hiring processes that can have a negative impact on your self esteem, especially after that a contract has been sent.
Therefore, I want to denounce them publicly here and from this experience I learned that this should not be a place to work at, since they sent a SIGNED contract WITH A STARTING DATE before the official hiring process.
