I applied in-person. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Chipotle (Oxford, OH) in Aug 2010
Interview
They have open interviews usually. I came in a few times after submitting an application online to check on my application and see if there was anything else I needed to do. They interviewed me on the spot, then asked me to come in a couple days later for another interview (which was basically the same thing). It wasn't difficult or unexpected and I knew what I was getting myself into.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Not many difficult questions. Why Chipotle? What is food with integrity to you? What is the first thing you notice about every Chipotle you walk into?
Asked questions about what positions work best for you, why you want to work there, what makes you a good fit there, where you see yourself in 5 years. Very simple and open to answer any questions I had
I applied online. I interviewed at Chipotle (Los Angeles, CA) in May 2026
Interview
Very brief, was only asked a few questions. I felt a decision about not hiring me was made before the interviewer even sat down. I suspect the interviewer was not accustomed to interviewing and may actually only standing in for a manager that was not working that day
The interview process included an application, attending a brief in-person interview, answering questions about teamwork, availability, customer service, and attitude, and was sometimes followed by a same-day or quick hiring decision.
