I have been working at Chipotle full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Chipotle is a way of life not just a job. In 6 months i have learned from many people and continue to learn and better myself. I would never take this work experience back I feel like its helped me better myself as a person as well as my work ethic

    Cons

Really everything has its cons but all in all Chipotle has been a rather great experience no matter how stressed it makes me sometimes I always look forward to working with my team again the next day.

    Advice to Management

Be patient with the new hires. No one starts out brand new knowing everything there is to know about Chipotle. Every day i myself learn something new even though i thought i knew everything a crew member can know.

I worked at Chipotle full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

I improved my time managements skills, definitely is a place to learn how to work as a team, be ready to learn new skills about kitchen and customer service, being fast and smart is a must.

    Cons

The line-ups can be a little be too much, but if the crew staff is on the same page and with the support of the management things can be done. Prepare yourself to clean the whole store in one hour.

    Advice to Management

I would suggest to hire people with soft skills, people ready to work as a team and don't be afraid to show responsibility at work, the nature of this job is relying in the people as a whole crew, every single staff member adds up to creat a pleasant please to work, specially when is busy.

    Pros

    Nothing really to say here

    Cons

    Everything. You want to
Move up? Managers have to like you, they don’t care if you are good at the job

    Advice to Management

    Care about your prople

I worked at Chipotle full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Paid breaks, free food when you work, opportunities to move up if you make friends with the right people

    Cons

No real enforcement of labor laws, you're encouraged to work under poor conditions (long periods without breaks, not enough hours between shifts, too many hours in a day or week, horrible managers, etc.), a lot of politics and very . little communication from upper management, only likely to move up the ladder if you befriend the area manager... just all around unprofessional. Needs to have way more checks and balances, as well as someone to actually enforce respectful workplace practices and labor laws.

    Advice to Management

Care for your employees, and they will care for your company.

I worked at Chipotle part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    - Clean environment
    - Straight-forward job (not easy, but simple)
    - Time passed very quickly since I was always at work
    - Free food!!

    Cons

    - My location was very unorganized, with unprofessional management
    - Managers treated their friends better than other employees (the reason I quit)
    - I was forced to work 30+ hours when I requested 20 hours, as a high school student
    - I was begged to stay until closing when I was told I was only working until 10
    - VERY busy/stressful

    Advice to Management

I believe the managers I worked with were all fired, but I recommend that the new managers remain professional and do their jobs.

I have been working at Chipotle part-time

    Pros

5K tuition reimbursement, if you last that long. Can be a good place with the right people. But entry level positions are "replaceable", so ..

    Cons

Inconsistent and unreasonable expectations. Indirectly expected to break SOP set by top management in order to accommodate consumer demand, resulting in the reduction of quality and have seen so many health and safety violations being broken(not intentionallly but as a result of serving customers on time). Varies from location to location, team and managers. I can only speak from my experience and so it will definitely not be the same at another location.

    Advice to Management

The world doesn't revolve around an excel sheet, unless you want it to.
