      Marketing Lead Interview

      Mar 21, 2025
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied in-person. The process took 4 months. I interviewed at Cere Network

      Interview

Unprofessional CEO, they are just trying to gather intelligence from professionals to shape their own strategies. Same position is open for over 5-6 months. First of all a recruiter reached out to me and told me how my profile matches the role and invited me to interview with 2 hiring managers and CEO same day at the office. First red flag was they sent me the wrong address and sent to their previous office, I got there and couldn't reach for 30 minutes to anyone and then office management told me that they moved out. After a while they asked me to get into metro and meet me at their new office. I was welcomed by those 2 hiring managers, and first interview went well. They were friendly. However second red flag happened during this interview, 2 hiring managers told me that their CEO is very hard to work with and he can be "a-hole" sometimes so asked me to bear with him during the interview. Then CEO came in, and invited me to their meeting room, including hiring managers and another colleague I have no idea what was relevant to him being there, and giggled at some answers I gave and my past experiences. Unprofessional. CEO kept trying to corner me with his questions, heating the conversation constantly, asking me to develop GTM strategy for their new product, and didn't even let me to finish my sentences and kept cutting me. At the end he said they will send a case study about programmatic advertising. He cut the meeting at 15th-20th minute. One of the hiring managers assisted me on my way out. She told that's what she meant by being an a-hole. And said sorry to me. She tried to motivate me and said I did well. She also said that CEO and previous candidate who interviewed yelled at each other, leading the candidate to storm out. Overall, CEO thinks he is a genius, but has 0 EQ and empathy, as well as zero respect for anyone who is not from silicon valley. He actually implied this in my interview.

      Easy interview

      Interview

Both interviewers just did not show up for the interview. Funny that the system requires me to enter at least 30 words into the review, but I don't even have anything else to add
