The technical interview was straightforward with an emphasis on practical and theoretical knowledge in database testing, Selenium, and Java. Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at CGI (Reading, England) in May 2019

      Interview

I turned up at the reception at 16:15. The interview was supposed to begin at 16:30. The receptionist was polite. The interviewer turns up at 16:40. Takes me up along with me. The interview begins at 16:45. No one had asked for even a glass of water. There are 2 people interviewing me with one on the phone, though it was face to face interview. The person on the phone had lot of background noise going on. They placed the phone on hold once while I was answering their questions. First time in my career I was asked questions related to my salary in the interview. Such as my salary expectations, current salary, asked to justify my salary expectations. The interviewer finished the interview and asked me if I had any questions to ask. When I asked my question, interviewers thought they had more questions based on my question. So they both started asking me more questions. I had great expectations from CGI after talking to Daniel Deane, but I was let down after the face to face interview. I believe the interview was completely unprofessional, there was no preparation from the interviewers and there was no format for the interview. I think a candidate should be shown some respect we travel to the office and back home. We spend time, money, have to do work adjustments in order to appear for the interview.
