The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at ByteCubed (New York, NY)
Interview
Contact was initially through a recruiter (who was great btw). After going through the resume we scheduled an at home coding assignment. For whatever reason I wasn't sent the email to download the problem. I emailed back after some time, they realized the mistake, and they sent it again. After completing over a few days and sending back they wanted to set up a skype interview.
It was supposed to be over two hours with a different interview each 30 min but no one explained this. The 3rd interviewer didn't show up at all... Of the ones that did, there were some good questions and some loaded ones. A good engineer knows not every question has a right answer but that apparently isn't the case at ByteCubed so watch out... there are some strong opinions.
I was told by Richard that I didn't get the job, but he didn't know why. I would advise against applying here.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Design and write some software that creates a virtual network of locations. The input describes which locations can directly access other locations. Questions then include how many hops between A to B... can you reach A from B... is there a loop from A to A without traversing the same path... etc. Basically multi-directional graph traversal. Which btw I HIGHLY doubt anyone there actually uses in practice.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at ByteCubed (Arlington, VA) in Jan 2018
Interview
First contacted by recruiter, then phone call with Creative Director, then in-person interview. During in-person, lead a quick brainstorming session. I enjoyed everyone I met. Even though I didn't get an offer, this was a great experience.

I applied in-person. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at ByteCubed
Interview
Answered an ad and then got a call from the company. They setup a chat in their Arlington offices and I attended. I was asked few questions and offered a position right away but then had to start the interview process all over again because the HR director stated she had questions.
