Only got to the screening call with recruiter. Spent 10 minutes doing an intro on the company and on myself. He then starts to "professionally" neg my engineering experience. It was very odd. Said that one position I held was web development and not software development so my time there doesn't count. He then asked what interests me in working somewhere. I said good team, modern tech stack, good work life balance. He said their work life balance is okay but "it is a startup" and most developers are working a full 40-45 hours a week. He said if I am not comfortable with that to let him know. So I said, I don't mind working 40 hours but it sounds like since you are mentioning it now, that it's actually much more than 40-45 hours. He then went on a long tangent about deadlines and things coming up, I don't even know I stopped listening to what he was saying at that point. So I thanked him and asked him to rescind my application. I've interviewed at dozens of companies and this was the first recruiter that really hit a nerve with his interviewing style.

Interview
Very unprofessional people. They took 6 rounds of interviews and 1 assessment test. After every interview, telling me that it was positive. They also asked me to do some tasks, which I completed on the weekend. At the end, after all this drama, they tell me they are looking for internal employee. Wasted my precious time and effort. Me being located in India, used to be awake till 1:30 am in the morning for their interviews. Very very unprofessional and amateur interview process and company.
