      Product Manager Interview

      May 29, 2010
      Anonymous employee
      Boston, MA
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Bullhorn (Boston, MA) in Mar 2010

      Interview

Performed a phone interview with the Recruiter first to determine fit for position. After the phone interview I was scheduled for an in house interview. I received directions to the location and paperwork to complete via email from the Recruiter as soon as the in house interview was scheduled. The in house interview consisted of meeting with the Recruiter, VP of HR, VP of Product Management, 4 PM team members, CTO, and CEO. The Recruiter went above and beyond making me feel comfortable and checking in on me in between each meeting. Every person I met with represented the company well. They were very positive, energetic, and passionate about the company and their jobs. They really made you want to join such an organization.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Bullhorn in Mar 2023

      Interview

I had a phone screening with a recruiter first. Wasn't long after that I was contacted to meet directly with the hiring manager for a 30 minute interview. That interview was the easiest; more like a get-to-know-you session. It was then followed by three 30-minute interviews, each with another product manager (different levels). They all went well. Over a week later I got an email from the recruiter that the overall feedback was great but that they were moving forward with another candidate. No specific feedback was provided. I emailed the recruiter back with no response (over a week and a half) yet.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Several situational questions (STAR method) and questions about my approach to certain things a product management person.

      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

The process took 4 days. I interviewed at Bullhorn

      Interview

Recruiter interview where company information, some job details, benefits, etc. were discussed in addition to my experience and what I would bring to the table for this company. Recruiter was going to forward over resume to 2 managers for further discussions as I met qualifications and brought valuable experience. Received an email rejection with no feedback 2 days later. I emailed back for feedback on why I was not selected to move forward since even the recruiter said my experience and skills sounded like a great fit. No response received back from this company.

      Oct 1, 2020
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Bullhorn in Sep 2020

      Interview

set up interview with recruiter. No info given regarding if zoom, a call? , webex? etc. followed up got no response. interview time came several days later, recruiter was late by phone. Brief interview I thoughtfully explained my 20 years of experience and made a good impression. Dont think recruiter knew how to determine qualifications for this position. Got email a day later saying thanks but no thanks. Probably wanted a "diversity" hire which offends me because I am native american. Oh well I will follow up with the EEOC.
