I had an interview scheduled for 11:30AM. I arrived at 11:15AM, spoke to the receptionist, and was asked to check in via the office kiosk. After checking in, the receptionist told me I could have a seat while she contacted the hiring manager, Nicole N., who would be out shortly. At 11:40AM, the receptionist comes over to tell me that the hiring manager, Nicole N has called in sick, and I would meet with her manager, but I had to wait until 12:00PM. At 12:05PM, the manager comes to escort me for the "interview". We get to his office and talk about life for the first 5 minutes. Where he grew up, when he moved, marriage, kids, school districts, his previous employers, etc. Then he told me about the company and the role I am interviewing for. At 12:25PM, he asks me to discuss my background, and asked a few questions along the way. Finally he abruptly cut me short because he had a 12:30PM meeting. As he is escorting me back to the receptionist, he tells me that the interview would be rescheduled to meet with the hiring manager. After following up for over a week, I received notice from the recruiter that they hired someone else. This was the BIGGEST WASTE OF TIME AND GAS.
