      Account Executive Interview

      Feb 18, 2025
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at BrightOrder in Feb 2025

      Interview

The hiring process for sales positions at this company is lacking focus and they seem confused in how sales roles are different than hiring for the development side of the product. The first round I had to record myself answering questions, which was fine. But then HR sent over abstract and more science based questions, the flow of which is usually reserved for roles on the engineering or product development side of SaaS. HR might be lacking the experience in hiring for sales roles, as usually the hiring company respects the candidates time and reaches out to speak to them directly. Instead, I was sent over abstract questions that had nothing to do with the role, instead of the usual use cases that SaaS companies send to candidates as they pertain to the actual role, and their professional experience. I wonder if they sent these types of questions to the male Account Executives that were hired before me, or perhaps I was given a harder time because I am a woman applying for the role.....

      Question 1

HR sent abstract exercises instead of actual use cases that pertain to the role.

      Interview

Fairly simple and straightfoward, respectable timeline, would have liked more time to ask some more of my questions which over time at the company were answered. Overall, good. This part is just because they are asking me to provide more than 30 words.
