      Customer Advisor Interview

      Aug 4, 2025
      Anonymous employee
      Accepted offer
      Neutral experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Boots

      Interview

Rather relaxed and stress-free interview, standard questions so make sure you have answers prepared/are easy to adapt them to the specific question. Overall, it didn't take long, I wouldn't worry too much if you don't have previous retail experience, as long as you have the right attitude and are willing to learn

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

standard interview questions such as 'name a time when you had to overcome a problem', 'what would you say are your strengths/weaknesses', 'what would you do in this situation' etc. Quite relaxed and stress-free

      Customer Advisor Interview

      Aug 15, 2025
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Wakefield, England
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Boots (Wakefield, England) in Aug 2025

      Interview

I was invited for an interview and told to expect it to last around 60 minutes. Lady came out to meet me. Didn't introduce herself or even say hello. Took me to an office and straight away abruptly said 'availability?'. I told her I could do Saturdays and Sundays and would be able to confirm weekdays once I get my college timetable on the 3rd September. She told me to get the hours I could work to her by the end of the week, even though I'd told her I wouldn't know my availability until 3rd September. Fast forward a few hours and I've just had an email saying I was unsuccessful in my application. She literally didn't ask me anything other than my availability. How is that considered an interview? I'm 17, and that was my first ever interview with a large organisation. Not a great impression. And to be honest not a company I'd ever consider working for after such a negative experience. If that's the attitude towards someone who doesn't work there I pity the staff they already have. This whole process was a complete waste of my time.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Availability! No please or thank you, simply one word and the only thing I was asked.
