As a candidate I submitted an online application, including a detailed CV, cover letter, certifications, and references. Then I was invited for an initial virtual interview to discuss my leadership experience, educational approach, and alignment with the school's ethos. After being successful I was then proceeded to a panel interview with key stakeholders, such as the Principal and board members, focusing on leadership strategies, curriculum development, and fostering a positive school culture. They asked me on topics like school improvement plans, academic achievement strategies, and staff development, allowing the panel to assess their vision, communication, and strategic skills. Situational or behavioral questions are were also asked for evaluating problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with scenarios such as resolving staff conflicts or addressing parent concerns. In some cases, candidates might lead a workshop or observe a lesson to demonstrate their interaction skills with staff and students. If feasible, an on-site visit may be arranged for candidates to tour the school, meet stakeholders, and attend a final in-person interview. Reference checks are conducted to validate their experience and leadership style, and the process concludes with a formal offer detailing the role, salary package, benefits, and start date.
