      Front End Developer Interview

      Feb 22, 2023
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Beezwax Datatools in Apr 2022

      Interview

This company ghosted me. I did a coding exercise, a few interviews, discussed salary, and was told at the end of the call I would be contacted the following week. Then I simply never heard from them ever again. Not sending a basic rejection email at that stage seems disrespectful -- or maybe just disorganized? I had Beezwax in the back of my mind for years as a company that I wanted to work for, but after engaging with them I felt severely let down, especially by the compensation. It was suggested by the CEO that, to fully merit my requested salary, I engage in so many required hours of extracurricular training. I'm always eager to learn, but it was as though I had been pegged as a budding junior-level engineer; like I was marked as low-skill, low-cost talent before they even contacted me. I remember at one point I was told that the people they hire rarely leave the company due to it being such a great fit, but at this point I'm very far from understanding how that could be true.
