Personally for me, there were multiple red flags during my interview process with BOC Aviation. As the saying goes, 'where there's smoke, there's fire'. A quick look at Glassdoor reviews confirms these concerns with the overall rating. Interview at your own risk! The process involved three rounds, including a PowerPoint presentation. It began with a online pre-screening with HR, followed by two rounds with four interviewers each. The same questions were repeatedly asked, making the need for three rounds unclear. It felt like they were hiring for a CEO or senior management position rather than the actual role. This gave the impression that the company lacks direction and is in a mess.
I went into this interview purely for practice, already aware of the red flags, but I did not expect it to be as bad as described on Glassdoor. I specifically asked if the role required presentations and was told no—so why was one included in the interview? It was a waste of time. Worse, during my presentation, the interviewers were rude, frequently interrupting before I could finish each slide. It felt like they were out to run me down. The biggest red flag was HR openly stating that the company is ‘intense’ and lacks work-life balance. This is something that in today’s workplace is a major concern.
