Interview
I had the distinct displeasure of interviewing with APPI. During my interview I found the HR representative, who was a part of the two member interviewing team, combative and downright disrespectful. Post the interview I withdrew my candidature. I've worked with NGOs, corporates, and, governments before but have never encountered such behavior. I don't believe any organization, let alone a philanthropy, should treat candidates in such an unprofessional and disrespectful manner. I was later told that the individual's behavior was well known to other people in the non-profit space. I fail to understand why a philanthropy would retain such people, definitely painted APPI in very poor light and I make it a point to steer people well away from APPI.
