Apparently i was shortlisted for an interview for THIS QA position and i attended the interview physically. During the interview, hiring manager said that, based on my resume, I didn’t match the job role advertised as my previous 2years experience in Engineering Dept (first job after graduation) and he wanted someone having more experience in QA Dept. He suggested me to apply another open role in Engineering Dept of the same company. Only then that I found out through him during the interview that they already decided to offer someone else in which alrdy had gone through 2nd round interview for the other open Engineering position. Then, why bother offering me an interview for QA position in the first place if my resume didn’t match your desired criteria??? HR admin and hiring manager can clearly filter me out in the first place if the job role didn’t match before deciding to arrange an interview. I wasted my time and effort travelling from another state and applying leave for this interview. Please don’t give fake hope towards your interview candidates and waste other people’s time. After the interview, HR admin ignored my follow up requests and didn’t send an answer post-interview. I had to follow up many times only to be rejected in the end. Among all the interviews experience I had, this is one of the worst.
