Had a call with a recruiter to walk through my background and what I could offer to the team. I advanced through to the next phase, which was a "virtual" interview where I had to answer questions through HireVue. This is an online platform where you answer a set of prompts (e.g., Please tell me about a time you did x, etc.). During the process, the recruiter did not seem to be of high quality or competent. After completing the virtual questions, I received another email from the recruiter to set up another conversation, and I sent some times over to schedule the follow-up conversation. A few hours later, I got a note that I was rejected for the role. However, I will chalk this shambolic experience up to this one recruiter and not the entire company as a whole.
