Hello Applicant, my name is Jon Binkosky and I am the COO at Audcomp. I want to apologize for any negative situations that occurred during the interview process or experience any applicant should have in an interview with Audcomp. In your review you mentioned the COO was rude to you. Perhaps you are mistaken, as I have only done 2 interviews in January - one with Dan and one with Brooks - Helpdesk and Sales Manager positions. The technical "helpdesk" interview was completed Thursday January 30th and a position was offered to the employee and is pending final acceptance of the position. Perhaps another person at Audcomp conducted the interview with you. Can you please provide me the contact that you met with, the date and time, and I will be sure to speak with them, coach them on how to conduct an interview and not be rude in this interview process. I want to thank you for your input and once again apologize for the negative experience you had. If you would like to speak with me directly, you can email me at jbinkosky@audcomp.com and I will be happy to call you back and apologize in person. I wish you the best of luck in your career search. Sincerely, Jon

      Network Engineer Interview

      Nov 4, 2014
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Ancaster, ON
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Audcomp (Ancaster, ON) in Sep 2014

      Interview

I was called by someone within the HR org within the company and arranged an in person interview. No prequalifying questions were asked. I was informed that I would be interviewing with 3 people, two on the IT side and one VP. I arrived 15 minutes early and introduced myself to the receptionist. I was asked to take a seat. The interviewer was 20 minutes late and at no point during my wait was I given any idea of how long I would be kept waiting. When the interview finally did happen there was only one person from the IT management to interview me. It was clear the day was a cattle call as he picked my resume and reviewed it as we spoke. The interview was odd in that there were no actual technical questions, just a series of questions about my experience and where I fit in with their current line of business. We discussed past experiences and some of the challenges of their customer base. The expectation for the role I interviewed for was that I would be on the road servicing small customers 50-150 users. I was a little surprised that no mileage would be paid unless outside of a ‘range’. I also inquired about training or skills updating and there was very little in the way of formal process for this. He mentioned that in the cases where someone did receive training they were asked to sign a waiver guaranteeing they stay on a year or pay back the cost of training. After the interview I was told it was promising and to expect a call later in the week. None followed.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

There weren’t very many skills or knowledge testing questions. Just general questions about experience or knowledge of industry solutions. I was asked about why I was looking for other employment as I was currently working elsewhere.
