I was contacted via LinkedIn to apply. Not having any retail experience (I'm a graphic designer), I was surprised and initially thought I was being spammed. But I needed a job so I applied and about 6 weeks later I was contacted via email for an interview. First interview was at the Apple Store in the Meatpacking district. It was a group interview. My group was 4 or 5 other females, interview by a female. We watched an apple video presentation about working in the store and then we were all asked the same series of questions and took turns answering them. The entire process took 45 minutes to an hour. I was contacted via email about 10 days later for a second interview that was at the Apple Store at Roosevelt Field Mall in Long Island. It was very inconvenient to get to but I made it. This interview was a little uncomfortable. Again a group interview, about 5 or 6 of us. I was the only female. The interviewer and the other candidates were all guys. I probably was the oldest in the bunch as well. Another series of questions taking turns answering, like, describe a difficult customer experience you had, describe any issues you had with a previous management (a lot of the questions were the same from the first interview). I didn't really get a good vibe off this interview. About 2 weeks later I received an email saying that they went with someone else.

It was a group interview format, with about 4 other candidates and we were given questions across all candidates. Also, we were given an opportunity to ask questions at the end.
