I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Anthropic (New York, NY) in May 2025
Interview
You start off with a recruiter then the hiring manager. If those two go well then you go into virtual interviews with team members and stakeholders, then the last step is to meet with leadership.
The recruiter sped through the interview and barely gave time to ask any questions. It didn't seem like they were really listening to my answers just picked up the last sentence. They didn't seem passionate about their own company which was a bit upsetting. It felt very robotic and less genuine.

Why interested in anthropic.
What I was doing in my current role.
What I thought could happen if AI wasn't monitored or safe.
The interviewer looked a bit frazzled and in a rush. Just asked question after question, which didn't feel too personable.
Asked me if I was given feedback how did I improve on it?
It was an ok interview experience, could tell it's very fast-paced and busy work.

Question 1
Asked me if I was given feedback how did I improve on it?
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Anthropic in May 2024
Interview
I came in through a referral, and was connected with a coordinator for a screen. I've been recruiting for a long time, and was having to explain basic metrics and data to this coordinator around recruiting. When I asked about next steps, she told me it would be to talk with a recruiter. It was actually shocking how bad the process is, given that many people I know work there.
