I applied online. I interviewed at Anakin (India) in Feb 2026
Interview
The assessment process was intensive and time-consuming (approximately 5 days of effort). While the team was responsive, the case interview round lacked clear structure and predefined problem framing.
The hiring manager introduced an API-related scenario with loosely defined requirements, which made it difficult to understand evaluation criteria upfront. Candidates should be prepared to spend time clarifying assumptions before proposing solutions, as structured requirement gathering appears to be heavily weighted.
The process involved multiple technically demanding rounds with high expectations around architecture thinking and tooling depth. However, clarity around evaluation benchmarks and decision criteria felt limited. Communication cadence did not always align with the stated turnaround time, creating uncertainty during the process. The experience felt disproportionately rigorous relative to the transparency provided about role scope and growth trajectory.
Overall, expect ambiguity and ensure you explicitly articulate your thought process before moving into implementation.

Question 1
How would you design and defend your automation architecture and integration trade-offs?
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Anakin (India) (Bengaluru) in Oct 2024
Interview
Coding round was easy. System design was on a movie booking system, more of a technical discussion like whether to use sql or no-sql database, how to imement locking, etc.
I applied through university. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at Anakin (India) (Bengaluru) in Dec 2024
Interview
It was absolutely hilarious. The interviewer asked 2 DSA questions and was least interested in the process of solving. He muted his mic, turned off his camera and came back after an hour asking for the output. Probably, he didn't know the method of solving himself but this is the poorest interview I have given for SDE until now. No attention given to approach or problem-solving.

Question 1
They didn't ask me anything, just explained the process and muted his mic.
