      Korean SPEAKING FLIGHT ATTENDANT Interview

      Sep 17, 2013
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at American Airlines

      Interview

AUG 12, 2013 - Applied for two positions - of foreign language (korean) speaking flight attendant, and regular English speaking flight attendant. AUG 15, 2013 - Received invitation for "video interview".. had to be completed in three days. Unfortunately, my video wasn't working. However, there's an option to call in for the oral interview in the case one was experiencing "technical difficulties". Called, and answered five questions... basically was talking to dead air, into an answering machine :(. Yes, I was pretty nervous haha! AUG 28, 2013 - Received an email, updating the qualifications of Korean flight attendant.. Information was added that the respective flight attendant was required to have a passport for international flight. (Yay?) SEP 16, 2013 - Received an email, stating I passed the 'first part of the screening process', and invited me to "Complete/update" online application form -- basically updating your resume, prior job information, etc. Waiting to receive call for in person interview!

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at American Airlines in Oct 2013

      Interview

I applied for the job at the end of August and did a video interview the following week, which I thought I completely messed up but I passed to my surprise. A couple of days after the video interview, I got a phone call to schedule a face to face interview but my passport was expired so I had to wait a couple of weeks to get a new passport. The face-to-face interview was pretty easy I thought. Short essay-group activity-group interview-orientation-1 on 1 interview- fingerprint. The questions were pretty straight forward, mostly about yourself, how you connect with people, and customer service experience. Rather than trying to practice about the questions too much, I tried to stay genuine and give honest answers. I think when someone tried too hard it shows and it looks unnatural. So try to be yourself, smile, and have a good time! I honestly had a lot of fun during this interview and very much enjoyed meeting those people:) Two days after the interview, I got an email and a job offer. I had to wait for the medical exam for about three weeks since I guess there were a lot of people getting hired at that time? I got an email telling me I completed all the hiring processes prior to the training a week after that, and Im just waiting now to get my training date! For those of you who is getting hired right now, they said all the training classes are full for the year and they are scheduling for 2014 classes.
