I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Amazon (Austin, TX) in Aug 2014
Interview
Telephone interview with hiring manager after initial phone screening with Amazon HR talent scout. Conversational and friendly, without a lot of grilling like a Google interview. A talent scout found me via LinkedIn, and then called to see if I would be willing to chat about opportunities at Amazon. I spoke with the talent scout, indicated great respect but only lukewarm interest if a relocation was required, but still agreed to talk to a hiring manager.

Question 1
The questions were very open ended, essentially asking "what do you know about us, this market, and how to succeed in it." This led to a thirty minute conversation in which I simply described the state of the market and the forces buffeting Amazon and the rest of the competitive landscape. It was simply an open-ended opportunity for me to say what I knew about the space and how to help their business progress.
First I passed the assessment its not an easy one, next step is phone screen 1 hour interview, my recruiter shared helpful information; connect 12 LP's to your work examples using a STAR method, 2-3 examples per LP.
Process was relatively straight forward, I didn’t make it to the loop. What I can tell you is the recruiter will be overly excited about you as they are with all candidates. They’ll tell you, you can expect to hear back in two days for feedback. Truth is, if they reject you then you will not hear back within 2 days it will be more like a week. Silence means you aren’t getting the job, they’re very binary.

I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Amazon (Luxembourg)
Interview
Good interview, reached the marathon loop of interviews. It was intense and quite focused on STAR stories obviously. Got some nice feedbacks as well to improve in case I managed to get another interview in a few months
