I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Amazon (Seattle, WA) in Dec 2009
Interview
Contacted by recruiter after posting my resume on dice.
Asked if I was interested in a phone interview. We scheduled a time, and they asked questions. Got an email a few days to schedule next phone interview.
They asked:
How would you create which you wanted only one instance of
How would you find the pairs of numbers that added to some specific number in an array.
Suppose you have a huge files (too large to fit in RAM) with a number per line and you want to sort this file. How would you do this?

The whole process stretched over nearly a month, longer than I anticipated. After an initial phone screen, I faced a technical round that included a Min Stack implementation question. We discussed design considerations and thread safety, which threw me for a bit. Fortunately, I remembered a specific mock interview I practiced on PracHub that mirrored this scenario closely, making me feel more at ease. Ultimately, I received an offer, but I chose to decline due to the company culture not feeling like the right fit.
