      Consumer Leadership Development Program Interview

      Nov 15, 2017
      Anonymous employee
      London, England
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through university. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Amazon (London, England) in Nov 2017

      Interview

If your application is successful you then do a written test online. If this is successful there are two rounds, each consisting of two 45 minute interviews. These are mostly behavioral with a couple cases and a couple tell me about yourself / resume questions

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Tell me about a time you took on a role that was outside of your job description. We're thinking of reducing the price of Kindle Fire HD from 199 to 149 for mother's day week. How would you evaluate price elasticity?

      Application

I applied through university. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Amazon in Sep 2015

      Interview

Applied with a cover letter on campus. Got interviewed for 2 back to back telephone interviews. Amazon has a strange process where during each interview (30 mins each) the interviewer will go through about 4 questions, almost always starting with "Tell me about a time you..." I'm not sure how effective this process is, but I guess it must work

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Tell me about a time you had to convince someone to do something differently? Tell me about a time when you went beyond your responsibilities to help someone?
