A long and delayed recruitment process for almost 6 months, via an external recruiter from an agency. They also reposted the job ad 3-4 times during this time. According to LinkedIn insights, it was unlikely a lack of applicants, but it seems to me that they did not really know what they were looking for. The interview itself with the recruiter was average and nothing memorable. The lack of feedback, transparency, and information, on the other hand, were memorable. Email response time were a few weeks apart, and replying very casually, without formal courtesies, and without giving any real information on the process. I even created a PPT deck to showcase my expertise by analyzing the company's weaknesses and growth areas and suggesting a way forward, but it was not as appreciated as I thought, as it did not generate a second interview. I would have appreciated a rejection or feedback from the recruiter rather than hearing nothing. At the end, 3 months later from the recruiters last message, and after a couple of my follow-up emails went unanswered, I received an automatic rejection email at last, stating they had found their candidate while boldly asking to keep in touch for future collaborations. If the company wants to improve their brand and attract talents, start with candidate experience.
