I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Aerotek (Raleigh, NC) in Aug 2011
Interview
I applied online for the position. Once contacted, a phone interview with the regional internal recruiter occurred the next week. Then I was asked to come in the following week for a face-to-face with the location's internal hiring manager. Later in the week there was a half day shadowing with various departments to see which would be the best fit. The following week there was another interview with the main director of the branch and further interviews by possible co-workers. Most people said they had been called in to interview between 5-8 times before having an offer made or decline given.
Be prepared to answer the typical what are your strengths, weaknesses, how do you handle disappointment, failure, etc.
It was stressed by everyone I spoke with that the hours are long (7-7ish most days) and you pretty much are the job if you want to get anywhere in the company and try to make the bigger paychecks.
Everyone that makes it through our regional internal hiring manager's phone interview seems to be motivated people-persons. What makes you any different than any of the rest of the people interviewing here?
The interview process was quick. Lasting around 15 minutes. There are several interviews that you will go through. They will do an initial interview with the director. Then you will get scheduled for a follow up. This is where you meet the other recruiters and account managers. They will walk you around the office and have you shadow some of the recruiters.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
What motivates you?
What’s your “why”?
Are you a go-getter?
Average difficulty covering standard interview questions. Phone screen followed by an in-person interview. Phone screen was received quickly after resume submission; in-person was with their head recruiter and then followed by one with their manager.
Phone screening call with the recruiter giving me information about the job, then another virtual call interview more in depth to ask me more questions. The final interview is in person in their office.
