I recently went through the interview process with Advanced Energy United for their Policy Principal role, and unfortunately, my experience was disappointing due to a lack of professionalism in communication.
The process consisted of four interviews. The first was with the recruiter, followed by a conversation with the hiring manager. I then spoke with a member of the hiring panel, and lastly, I had a final interview with another Policy Principal and the Managing Director. Each interview seemed to go well, and I was given specific timelines by the recruiter on two separate occasions regarding when I would receive feedback.
Despite these assurances, I ultimately heard nothing back after my final interview. The complete lack of follow-up, especially after multiple rounds of interviews, was highly unprofessional. Candidates invest significant time and effort in these processes, and the least a company can do is provide timely communication, even if the outcome is unfavorable.
This experience left me with a negative impression of the organization’s hiring process and professionalism. I hope they improve their candidate communication in the future
