      Account Manager Interview

      Feb 28, 2011
      Anonymous employee
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through other source. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at AT&T in Sep 2009

      Interview

AT&T Advertising Solutions found my resume online and called me to schedule a face to face interview. There was no initial phone interview (which was my first clue that the job wasn't anything to write home about). Met face to face with the General Manager and District Manager. Interview was at the office I'd be working out of, and took a little over an hour. The questions aren't terribly difficult as they have a high turn over rate, so they seem to be looking for someone with basic sales skills or better. Provided you complete that round of interviewing (and you should, if you can't pass that interview, sales probably isn't a good career path) you get a phone interview with the GM's boss (I forget the title). Again, not a real killer interview, solid interviewing skills 101 gets you the job.

You may apply online and may receive an email to schedule a phone interview. With one of their human resource agents. It may be a third-party conpany until you pass a preliminary interview and advance to the next stage. The interview was brief and straightforward and one may be hired on the spot.

      Interview

Just like having a conversation. Basically asked about availability, working with others and independently, handling difficult customers and difficult situations, also how would you handle overcoming objection with sales and would that be a problem for you.
