Pros

Pay, benefits, if you’re lucky enough to have a good manager then that helps

Cons

RTO, MBC (market based culture), C-suite leadership and ability to progress company (especially with all mighty Wall Street) unless they get employee numbers down to competitor levels. So the layoffs will continue at all levels lower than VP.

Pros

I gained valuable experience during my time at AT&T, particularly in process development and project leadership. However, despite regularly performing project management responsibilities, I was neither formally recognized in that role nor compensated accordingly.

Cons

AT&T failed to adequately recognize or accommodate my documented disability as a veteran with PTSD. I was required to return to an office location where I had never previously worked, despite the availability of reasonable alternatives. I made a good-faith effort to comply and continued in the role as long as I was physically able. However, the required commute significantly worsened my condition. The hypervigilance associated with PTSD made driving unsafe, disrupted my sleep due to recurring symptoms, and ultimately created serious health concerns. While I could have prolonged the situation through formal channels, the toll on my well-being made that unrealistic. In the end, I was forced to leave the position. The outcome effectively allowed the company to avoid the cost of my role, while leadership continued to prioritize other expenditures over a reasonable accommodation.
