- it’s chaotic and you’ll be overworked - you’ll be expected to do double but when you ask for career progression it’s non existent so good luck getting promoted - the culture is dead, I used to love working at UT before the new CEO and friends took over - constant layoffs

There’s strong focus on product quality and innovation, and you get to work on meaningful challenges at scale while continuing to grow professionally.

At times, there’s a sense of uncertainty from management.

The move to serve enterprise customers

- Adored most of the people I worked with day-to-day - Flexible PTO and flexible hours (US Employees) - The company once stood for something, was run by decent people, and had a great culture.

- No growth opportunities, but they'll demote your title and then tell you its just semantics - Constant instability and threat of layoffs. - Upper management is not interested in any critical feedback. - Gaslighting. Everything is great and if you don't think its great its your fault. - The CEO spoke on all hands meeting like we were a company of idiots. From what I've heard, that hasn't changed. Also we get it you're rich.

- No pressure to RTO, and when in the office the environment is positive, welcoming, and honestly quite fun, especially when there are teams coming together for on-sites, cultural events or trainings. - The people who work here are enthusiastic, competent, and welcoming. All kinds of work preferences are respected be you in the mood to collaborate, or need to work headphones on to limit distractions. - There is a general sense of camaraderie and being "in it together" , through the good and the bad, people tend to rely on each other and continue to move forward towards a common goal. - The company has been welcoming to and supportive of diverse candidates, and has internal groups dedicated to representing various minority voices throughout the company such as LGBTQIA+ , Women, API, Black, AccessAbled and more. - Internal promotion and growth of talent is prioritised, funded, and supported for those who have the drive to move their career forward at UT

- There has been significant changes and disruption in leadership, ways of working and product direction over the last 12-18 months. This has impacted general morale. While these changes are for the better in the long run, it remains to be seen if trust in leadership can be established and maintained. - There is concern that the loss of prominent sponsors and advocates for certain aspects of the companies culture may lead to a shift in wrong direction in future.

The mission is inspiring and attracts great people. The strategy makes sense and culture is good. Interesting time to be in the UX space with all the changes with AI.

Merger challenges slowed down innovation for the past couple of years, but that looks to be changing now.

UserTesting, like many companies, has had its ups and downs over the past few years. That said, it's a place where people can really grow in the right roles, and there’s great flexibility to move across teams to develop new skills and experiences. The hybrid setup, with the option to work remotely or from an office, has always offered a nice balance, depending on what suits each person best. The people here are a real highlight - knowledgeable, collaborative, and always open to sharing best practices to help each other succeed. Looking ahead, the 2025 product roadmap is the most ambitious I’ve seen, showing that the company is aware of the competitive landscape and is taking active steps to stay ahead as the market leader. While new leadership had to navigate some challenges left over from before their time, they’ve shown a recent willingness to take accountability, make adjustments, and correct things where needed — especially from a sales team perspective. They’re open to change, and it's clear their goal is to take UserTesting to the next level as an enterprise organisation. What’s encouraging is that they’re focusing not only on what’s best for the business, but also addressing the issues within the internal culture and moving to a focus on retaining employees.

There has been a lot of layoffs and changes over the past years and a lot of people working worry about if they are next. Consistency in teams and clear career paths being laid out per department would be great.
