      Bad leadership - Great Coworkers

      Business outlook

      Pros

      - Great co-workers. You'll get to meet some of the most creative hardworking people in the industry. - You get to work in the YouTube world - Projects change very fast so it can be very exciting.

      Cons

      - No clear communication from upper management - Certain teams lack good communication which is obviously hurting the company - Not enough praises for the wins - CEO often preaches letting go of ego and being open to new ideas but doesn't put it into action. - Constant business strategy changes from high up - Not willing to take risks to stand out - No job stability unless you work your way into the higher ups inner circle or have been at the company for 3+ years already.

      Pros

      -Met some very cool people

      Cons

-Turnover is ridiculous, I've never seen a place so bad -Inconsistency, you'll pour your heart and soul into a project just for it to get cut -Communication outside your department is difficult and leads to a lot of crossed wires -Slow response times. Everything is trend-based, but before moving forward you have to present your info in half a dozen meetings to push things through. By then it's old news -Awful burnout. I had 12-hour days, was working over the weekend, and often had to forgo lunch and breaks (which is illegal but whatevs). And, going off that there is no work/life balance. They want the work to be your life

      Pros

Always looking to improve, listening to their team, leading with a growth mindset.

      Cons

Operates like a startup, sometimes requiring multiple hats. But that is to be expected.

      Pros

You will meet some great people who are very knowledgeable about production/YouTube. If you are trying to break-in to the YouTube industry, this would be a good starting point. Pay is above market average for similar roles and the benefits are pretty good. The vibe is that of a “start-up”, so the environment is fairly relaxed. Snacks and drinks are constantly available.

      Cons

If you’ve read the other reviews, the Cons are all true. Turnover is a significant issue at TBNR, with employees sometimes being let go unexpectedly, even when performing well. This was a common occurrence during my time there. There seems to be a lack of clear vision from the CEO, which can be confusing for employees. I, for one, was unsure of the company's direction. Communication is a challenge across departments and from the top down. While some individuals excel in this area, senior management often struggles to effectively communicate, leading to misunderstandings and missed opportunities. Professionalism can be lacking, starting from the top. There were instances where the CEO openly criticized employees or mentioned firing someone in a less than professional manner. The concept of "Radical Candor" is promoted but seems to be selectively applied. While management encourages direct communication, it doesn't always seem to be well-received, especially if there are issues or disagreements. It's important to approach such situations cautiously.

      Good pay, thats about it.

      Pros

-Competitive pay -Good benefits -Some very talented people work at TBNR and you can learn a lot from them -Good perks such as snacks and drinks -Very informal in regards to dress code and such

      Cons

-Lied in initial interviews about work-life balance and the future of remote work, also made employees corroborate said lies (not the employee's fault but crazy management would ask them to lie to potential candidates). -During performance reviews which dictated bonuses some employees had their initial rating changed from one that would give a bonus to a lower one where they no longer would receive a bonus once the company realized they couldn't pay out all the initial bonuses. -Work-life balance depending on what part of the company you work in is non-existent. Working well past normal hours, working weekends to make deadlines, etc. -Communication is terrible the majority of the time. -The turnover rate is EXTREMELY high. -The company pushes "radical Candor" but upper management doesn't seem to be receptive to it besides Preston, sometimes, Told multiple times not to give radical candor to other departments and just "focus on what you can do". Upper management would rather shield others than get things solved quickly. -Many of the upper management are people who have just been there for years but struggle with adapting or being receptive to new ideas and lack strong leadership qualities.

A Focus on the Grind, never the team

      Post production manager

      Business outlook

      Pros

Big name for your reel Pay was fair for higher level positions Office was a unique, start up vibe

      Cons

Emphasis is always on output and performance - never on morale or teambuilding. Holidays are a rare priveledge and overall you should expect to work late every day and often during holidays. Their strategy is not to build a lasting and strong team, but rather just grind out editors until they leave so that TBNR can hire new editors and never raise wages
