What is the hiring process like at Asurion?

      Asurion reviews

Great benefits but they make you do two jobs

      Techincial support
      Former employee
      Orlando, FL
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business outlook

      Pros

Great benefits, some staff genuinely cares about your success within the company, fair with hiring process, events and food given frequently to keep morale in work place.

      Cons

Sales oriented business started off as just helping customers with devices etc. If you don’t pressure them into buying protection package you get in trouble. High volume of calls and if they offer vto and you stay you are on back to back calls with no time to breathe. Customers for Verizon are difficult and most of them curse you out. management can be a little messy.

Not bad, not good. Depends on where you are in your life

      Software engineer
      Former employee
      Manila, Manila
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business outlook

      Pros

      - Asurion is a good option for people looking for a place to rest or retire or do a sort of on the job training - Work is easy, tech stack is not too complex and quite easy to learn from scratch. - The best thing about Asurion is that the compensation package is way above industry standards - Work life balance is easy to achieve. 100% work and life integration is doable and it's easy to get leaves approved. I can take care of my family, and do sidelines in the middle of my work. Can also work remotely or from anywhere as long as you complete 8 RTOs every month

      Cons

      - There are still a few boomers in leadership roles, so there is a lot of politics and traditional leadership (loyalty and traditional Filo biases is favored over meritocracy). There's a lot of "it's who you know and not what you know". - Some managers have no idea what they're doing and using their current role as a learning experience rather than a working / contributing experience. - Job titles are super inflated. Skills and abilities are way below industry standards. I think this may be a result of internal hiring. Instead of hiring someone with the correct skills, they choose to hire people internally without proper training or transition into new role, resulting in poor skills and quality of work

      Tech support - sales
      Former employee
      Houston, TX
      Recommend

      Business outlook

      Pros

Here is a more professional, honest, confident, and direct version of your message: The site is well-maintained, and the breakroom amenities are a nice touch. There are plenty of perks and strong earning potential. The support system appears adequate, given that you truly enjoy sales.

      Cons

Here is a more professional, honest, confident, and direct version of your message: This company lacks professionalism and prioritizes sales over genuinely addressing customer issues. The turnover rate is extremely high, largely due to inadequate training and unrealistic expectations. While the onboarding process may seem welcoming, it quickly becomes clear that job security is contingent on daily sales performance, with frequent threats of disciplinary action. Today, I decided to leave after a meeting where employees were publicly called out for their performance—despite being in a "grace" training period. I've only been on the floor for a week, yet the focus is already on numbers rather than development. I can't continue with a company that shows such disregard for both its employees and its customers.

      Pros

nice office, good food options around

      Cons

toxic managers, power-tripping leadership. decisions made with little to no consideration or consultation with affected parties. if ur a new hire, expected to just know everything about the business even though their logic keeps fluctuating. not the best outlook either, nobody in the company even buys their own product. also unspoken expectation of overtime work. everyone is overwhelmed and short-staffed, yet they layoff people.

      Run Away

      Tech support
      Former employee

      Business outlook

      Pros

No pros at all, it's not worth your mental health. This place will BURN YOU OUT!

      Cons

Call center hell. Constant calls, they don't train you on how to do tech support. Instead, they train you (and it's done poorly) on how to search for troubleshooting steps on their horrible search engine. The search emgine us not good because a majority of the time it does solve the issue. And, its hard to search for anything in general. You are also timed during this whole process, so when Grandma Jean calls in for tech support (which is very common) you're time metric is screwed. That's just the tip of the iceberg. Do yourself a favor and don't work here.
