Earlier this month Newfront joined in the celebration of World's Indigenous Peoples Day! This day is celebrated to spread awareness about the #indigenous population around the world and to protect their rights. We also honor the contributions made by #indigenous people to protect the world's environment. Earlier this year, #Newfront announced its newest employee resource group (ERG) – Amplify AAPI! This ERG aims to amplify the voices of our Asian American and Pacific Islander (#aapi) colleagues and allies by uplifting and supporting one another, sharing experiences to showcase our diverse cultures, and creating a sense of belonging that encourages inclusivity. As part of our ERG launch, Amplify AAPI Co-Lead Mai Ling Slaughter authored a blog post about honoring diversity, celebrating, and educating others.
