On #BlackFriday, I took on a new role alongside the #CGLeadershipTeam – getting to the heart of our brand by working the sales floor in Canada Goose stores around the world. We engaged with our teams and our customers with an aim to uncover those priceless 'aha!’ moments that can only be experienced first-hand. What I was reminded of clearly, is that retail isn’t static. What your business was last year, last month, or even yesterday, isn’t what it will be today. Retail changes with people, and we have to be with people to learn, to innovate, and to succeed in this industry. I plan to do more of that – and more often – in the coming year. Throughout my career, my mantra has always been to lead with humanity because companies hire people, not just employees. So yesterday, I spent time with our people and took to the sales floor at the Canada Goose Toronto Eaton Centre store. I worked as a retail Brand Ambassador with Eric Au and the rest of the incredible retail team – who all made me feel right at home. My time in-store reinforced the importance of fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment. Investing in our team's development and well-being is key to delivering an outstanding customer experience. I’ve known that connection is a driver of success but witnessing it firsthand was powerful.
