Last year was memorable for Broadsign. Our company achieved a significant milestone—celebrating our 20th anniversary in the ever-evolving #OOH space 🚀 But the year was about more than just us; it was about celebrating the communities we're a part of and our continued commitment to making a difference 🫶 Now that the holiday buzz has settled down and 2024 is underway, we feel it's the perfect time to express our gratitude to the passionate Broadsign team who consistently seek ways to contribute to their communities and make spirits brighter. Over the past two years, our team has been working to identify opportunities to reduce our emissions and secure offsets for those emissions that cannot be eliminated today. ♻️ Now that 2023 is almost over, we’re pleased to be able to share some of the progress we’ve made, including our selection of an offset provider and which of the technologies and projects they offer that we have invested in. Officially unveiled in November, Broadsign's redesigned Montreal headquarters is more than just a physical space: it’s a place where ideas flow freely. When rethinking its layout and features, one word kept surfacing: flexibility. Ensuring flexibility was crucial in bringing this new design to life. While Broadsign remains a 100% remote-first company, we recognize the importance of providing our team with a physical space they can come to, one that fosters collaboration between remote employees and those who choose to come into the office. After all, some employees do feel more productive in the workplace and our office space gives them the freedom to decide. Some other ways we support our employees: 🍽️ We've partnered with a local catering company to provide fresh, daily meals for our in-office employees. Plus, our fridges and shelves are always stocked with snacks—perfect for curbing those afternoon cravings! 🚗 We partially subsidize public transportation, so you can get to and from work easily. 🥂 We like to keep things light and fun, so we host plenty of after-work cocktail hours and board game nights. Plus, we've got more coming, including sip and paint nights, movie screenings, cooking classes, and more. We know that life's unexpected moments can disrupt the 9-to-5 routine. Our flexible, hybrid model and policies are designed to ensure our team can manage medical appointments, family responsibilities, and unforeseen illnesses without missing a beat.
An incredible weekend for an important cause. 🫶 We're immensely proud of the Broadsign team for participating in the 18th annual 24h Tremblant relay race this past weekend in Mont-Tremblant, Quebec. The event invites teams to relay for 24 hours straight by skiing, snowboarding, alpine touring, walking, or running to raise money for causes that support the health and well-being of children. In this year's race, we finished 21st out of approximately 500 participating teams! Our team proudly sponsored Belha, a brave 10-year-old in remission after receiving proton radiation and a 6-month course of chemotherapy for a tumour in her cerebellum. Thanks to their diligent efforts and the generous support of the community, we raised an impressive $31K towards pediatric cancer research—surpassing our initial $20K target! 🎉
Inside Broadsign: Celebrating 20 years of Lighting Up OOH
Last week, the women of Broadsign were invited to attend a cocktail soirée held at the W Hotel in Montreal. 🍸 The gathering was a great opportunity to connect with new colleagues and foster a sense of community among women in the company. We engaged in meaningful discussions, exchanged ideas, and laid the groundwork for an inclusive future where every voice matters. And, in the spirit of networking and collaboration, we announced a new mentorship program for 2024 focused on empowering individuals through guest speakers and events covering a range of topics like career development, leadership, time management skills, navigating work-life balance and more. Not only will employees attending these events gain valuable insights, but they may also pave the way for future 1:1 mentorship opportunities. A big thanks to all those who joined us at the event!
